It's an urban legend that there's a wild, hedonistic gathering every Midsummer in the ruins of Castle Rua in the nearby woods. What isn't an urban legend, though, is that people who've gone exploring there on a Midsummer's evening never come back - or return having seemingly lost the ability to differentiate between reality and the legends, spinning lewd and improbable tales about encountering an orgy of the Fair Folk.

The police have investigated the disappearances but found nothing - two years ago a group of friends drinking in the woods reported one of their number had gone missing during the night, and police dogs followed the missing person's trail to the castle but lost the scent at the entrance to the ruin. Last year the police staked out the ruins on the nights leading up to Midsummer's night, on the night itself, and the nights after, in the hope of catching the perpetrators. Nothing. They've given up the search.

Knowing all that, you've still decided to head out tonight - Midsummer night - to the ruins of Castle Rua to investigate. If the legend is true, you'll get to experience a truly wild party. If it's not, you get to check out a cool ruin and then head home, which realistically speaking is almost certainly all that's going to happen. You can't help but feel excited though, because what if. It's the prickling back of your neck feeling when a haunted house tour is set up so well that you've half convinced yourself it's real, because you want it to be real.

Before you head out the door you have some last minute misgivings. People HAVE gone missing - you could end up being one of them. Do you change your mind and stay in for the night, making the sensible choice? Or keep going to investigate, knowing the potential danger?

Make the sensible choice. Head out to investigate.
